In reply to your letter of the 2nd. Novembur last,

I have to inform you that you have been promoted to the

rank of I Grade Land Bailiff, the salary attached to which

18 £250 rising to £270 at the end of 3 years. You will continue

to draw your present rate of salary, namely, £250 until the

end of September 1916, after which you will be permitted to

draw the maximum under the new scale, namely, £270.
